Decot Named BWC Legislative Director

Elle Decot, a veteran of Gov. John Kasich's administration, has been named legislative director at the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC), it was announced Tuesday, June 28.

In the new role, she will represent the agency at the Statehouse, work with lawmakers on bills impacting the agency and respond to constituent issues.

“We are thrilled to have Elle join our executive team and serve in this important role” said BWC Administrator Sarah Morrison. “She brings the kind of skills and experience we need to be our point person at the Statehouse, working with lawmakers and the Governor's office to craft legislation that best serves injured workers and public and private employers across this state.”

Ms. Decot is a Marysville native who graduated from Ohio State University. She was a constituent aide for the governor's administration, and became legislative liaison in March of 2014. She also served as deputy political director for New Day for America, the super PAC that supported Gov. Kasich's presidential campaign.
